Scholarship Opportunities

The Kandiyohi community takes pride in supporting students pursuing higher education. The following scholarships are available through various local organizations. Applicants are encouraged to apply for all opportunities for which they qualify.

James L. Strouth Memorial Scholarship

Jim Strouth was an active member of the Kandiyohi community and belonged to the Kandiyohi Men’s Club, Kandiyohi Businessmen’s Association, and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. He spent countless hours volunteering for his church and community events and had a strong commitment to his customers and the surrounding agricultural community.

He passed away on February 24, 2021. In his memory, an annual $1,000 scholarship is awarded.

This scholarship is open to a college or trade school student with a strong GPA and an interest in the Kandiyohi community or local agriculture.
